Biography

Gautam is a PhD student at the Centre for Robotics Research at King’s College London. He has a medical background and is a specialist in Gynaecological Oncology. Gautam completed his postgraduate medical training with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) associated with the London Deanery. He did his core postgraduate training in general Obstetrics & Gynaecology followed by advanced subspecialist training in Gynaecological Oncology at Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT) in London. He is associated with the department of Gynaecological Oncology at GSTT as a Senior Academic Subspecialty Fellow in Gynaecological Oncology during his research in the Department of Informatics.

His research interest is translational research where he studies the applications of sensor probes in detecting Gynaecological cancers and other benign Gynaecological conditions. His other research interests are improving tactile sensation during laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
