Biography
Ketao Zhang was a Research Associate at the Centre for Robotics Research (CoRe), King’s College London. He obtained his PhD in Machinery Design and Theory with particular regard to Mechanisms and Robotics within a joint PhD programme between Beijing Jiaotong University (China) and King’s College London (UK). His PhD thesis was awarded The Outstanding Award of Hiwin Doctoral Dissertation Award presented by Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society. He was a researcher at the Electrical Machines and Drives (EMD) Group of the University of Sheffield.
Description of Research
His research activities mainly focus on mechanisms and robotics, with primary emphasis on the design and performance analysis of innovative mechanical systems in robotic applications.

Ketao worked on the EU FP7 projects SQUIRREL, TOMSY and V-Feather before he moved to Aerial Robotics Lab, Imperial College London in June 2016.
