Angela Faragasso, BSc, MSc
PhD Candidate

Angela Faragasso is a PhD candidate under the supervision of Kaspar Althoefer, Thrishantha Nanayakkara  and Hongbin Liu. She received her BSc degree in Computer Science Engineering and her MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at La Sapienza University of Rome.

She joined the Centre for Robotics Research in November 2012 focusing her research in vision for minimally invasive surgery. Additional research involves hybrid control for flexible manipulators, visual servoing, tactile and bending sensing  systems for MIS and real time mapping in unstructured environments. Her research is part of the EU FP7 project called STIFF-FLOP.
