Jeevan Manavalan is a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Matthew J. W. Howard and Dr. Hongbin Liu. He received his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Essex and M.Sc. in Advanced Computing from the University of Bristol. Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in Robotics from King’s College London.
Research Project
His research looks at grasping and manipulating objects using humanoid hands, specifically handling multiple objects simultaneously in one hand. His current work looks at estimating constraints from movement observation to facilitate grasping behaviour.
