Dr Grazia Todeschini attended Soapbox Science at London Southbank. The title of her activity was: ‘Renewable energy sources in everyday life’. 

Soapbox Science is a novel public outreach platform for promoting women and non-binary scientists and the science they do. This year, 12 speakers were selected to showcase their research. ‘I have been honoured of the opportunity of being a presenter at Soapbox Science. I had planning to attend the event for a while, but due to the pandemic all the events were cancelled in the past two years’, Dr Todeschini commented. 

Her demonstration showed a prototype of an electrical machine, and how it can be used to generate electricity, in a similar way as is done inside the nacelle of a wind turbine.
