Miruna Serian

Biography

Miruna graduated from the Department of Biochemistry at UCL in 2018.  Then she went on to do a Master’s in Bioinformatics at Birkbeck University.  After completing her Master’s degree, she went on to work as a data scientist for a year.  In 2020, Miruna was awarded a place in the LIDo DTP.  She has chosen to do her first rotation project within the Lorenz Lab in collaboration with the group of James Mason. In her rotation project, she will be using a combination of molecular dynamics simulations and a range of biophysical experimental techniques to investigate the mechanisms of action of numerous antimicrobial peptides.
