Biography and CV

Okay, this isn't strictly speaking a bio, but it provides a brief sketch of my career over the past 20 years or so. You can fill in the detail from my CV.

Until the end of 2001 I was a Reader in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Liverpool where I worked in the Agent ART group. This included a number of people interested in the general areas of argumentation and intelligent agents.

From January 2002 until September 2002 I was a Visiting Scholar in the Center for Co-ordination Science at MIT, and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Columbia University

From September 2002 until July 2013, I was Associate Professor and then Professor in the Department of Computer and Information Science at Brooklyn College. I was Graduate Deputy Chair of the department and co-director of the Agents Lab.

During this time I was also a Visiting Professor in the Department of Informatics at King's College London, and affiliated with the Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University.

From July 2013 until July 2015 I was back in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Liverpool where I headed the Agent ART group, and was involved in smARTLab.

Since July 2015, I have been in the Department of Informatics at King's College London. At King's I lead the Reasoning and Planning research group. Until July 2018 I was a Vice Dean, responsible for developing King's Engineering programmes.
