Welcome to the robot learning lab page

The Robot Learning Lab is a group of undergraduate and postgraduate students from King's College London under supervision of Dr. Matthew Howard The group produces research in several areas of machine learning and robotic applications.

The primary research interests are machine learning for control, especially as applied to robotics. This includes learning kinematics and dynamics, approximate optimal control and reinforcement learning. The central theme for most of the work is generalisation of control across systems with different dynamics, where those differences may be in terms of the constraints, the actuation or other differences in dynamics. This has implications for adaptive control and imitation learning (robots imitating humans or other robots) for a wide class of problems. It also relates to the control of redundancy in both the kinematics, dynamics and actuation.
