TRAVEL INFORMATION
Participants should arrive at Grey College, University of Durham,
in the afternoon on Monday 5th January,
and depart after breakfast on Saturday 10th January.
Durham is situated in the North East of England about 18 miles
south of Newcastle upon Tyne.
The following information supplements that from the University of
Durham.
There is an InterCity train service to Durham from the south
(London King's Cross) and from the north (Edinburgh). For a railway timetable

taxi rank at Durham station,
and the taxi fare from here to Grey College is approximately 3 GBP.
The nearest airports are Newcastle Airport and Teesside International Airport.

You can get from Newcastle Airport to Durham in about 90
minutes by metro to Newcastle Central Station and then by train to Durham.
It costs about 30 GBP for a taxi from Newcastle Airport to Durham.
