LSD & LAW - London Stringology Days & London Algorithmic Workshop
The LSD & LAW meetings are organised annually (usually in February) by Algorithms and Bioinformatics research group at King's College London, and welcome researchers at all levels with interests in theoretical or applied aspect of discrete algorithms, including String Algorithms, Automata Theory, Combinatorics on Words, Bioinformatics, Graph and Network Algorithms and Computational Complexity. Research students are especially welcome.
There is no registration fee, but please email the organisers in advance, if you plan to attend.
Advances in Mathematical Aspects of Uncertain Data
The 25th LSD & LAW meeting will have an additional theme Advances in Mathematical Aspects of Uncertain Data to explore the new field of algorithmics on uncertain sequences, specifically the mathematical aspects when uncertainty in the sequences is represented by underlying probability space, that is an important and broad foundation for representing and mining uncertain data arising in a wide variety of contexts.
Programme
The programme includes invited talks and a number of shorter contributing talks.
Invited talks:
- Gregory Gutin (Royal Holloway University of London, UK), Algorithms on Branchings in Digraphs
- Wing-Kin Sung (National University of Singapore ; Genome Institute of Singapore, Singapore), Methods for constructing phylogenetic consensus tree
