## Ashwin Iyengar

Hi! My name is Ashwin and I am a fourth year Ph.D student of the London School of Geometry and Number Theory and the King's College London math department, supervised by Dr. James Newton and Prof. Toby Gee. I expect to graduate in September 2021, and am currently looking for postdoc positions.

I am interested in the deformation theory of Galois representations, eigenvarieties, and the $p$-adic Langlands program.

Previously, I was a master's student at Paris 13, and before that I was an undergraduate at UC Berkeley.

See the links in the above menu for publications, seminars that I've organized, notes I've taken, etc.

Here is an article I helped write for Sky news about the catastrophic GCSE and A-level COVID grading scheme, before it was reversed.

I am a cofounder of London Maths Outreach, which is a program offering weekly meetings for school students (Years 10-13) from the London area in which students can explore interesting mathematics beyond the standard curriculum. I developed an online course on Logic Gates in Spring 2020.

Here is the debut album from the band I used to drum for in college.

I strongly believe in Federico Ardila-Mantilla's axioms:

• Axiom 1: Mathematical talent is distributed equally among different groups, irrespective of geographic, demographic, and economic boundaries.
• Axiom 2: Everyone can have joyful, meaningful, and empowering mathematical experiences.
• Axiom 3: Mathematics is a powerful, malleable tool that can be shaped and used differently by various communities to serve their needs.
• Axiom 4: Every student deserves to be treated with dignity and respect.
